Libby trained as a nurse then worked 6 years in Tanzania which opened her heart to working cross culturally. She has a strong background in refugee and humanitarian work, starting from her involvement in late 1991 with the Refugee Advice and Casework service (RACS) which was managed by the Australian Refugee Association. Around 1995 RACS changed focus and the service in Adelaide became knowns as “ARA Migration” and Libby continued to be employed by ARA on a part time basis until 2005. Libby was also employed by the Australian Red Cross as case manager for the Asylum Seekers Assistance scheme from 1994-1996 then as a consultant position into the early 2000’s
She was encouraged to start her own small migration business in 1996 and went on to build the business from being a sole trader to forming the company Australian Migration Options Pty Ltd, which she has been the Director of since 2009. Libby is well known & highly respected amongst her colleagues, clients, the department, various ethnic communities & politicians, for her long-standing career and the ongoing experience, professionalism, advocacy and contributions she has made to the industry over her 35+years.
Libby has handed over most of her application work to her 2 daughters Sarah and Ruth as she moves into the process of retirement but continues to have a strong commitment to advocacy and support in various fields.

Sarah started of in a reception role within the business back in 2004 and continued on to become a migration assistant and then Manager of the company. Sarah continued to build her knowledge in the migration field which lead to the completion of her qualification to become a Registered Migration Agent in 2009. Since then Sarah has assisted with a wide range of visa application types and has specifically built strong passion for Partner and family visas.

RUTH NOWLAN
Migration Consultant (MARN 106583)
Ruth started her work in a reception & administrative role within the business in 1996 and initially completed her qualification to become a Registered Migration Agent in 1999. Ruth built up her experience in Refugee and humanitarian field whilst working in the various detention centres across Australia from 2000 to 2003. She then left the industry for a period to raise her 3 children and move to Yorke Peninsula. Ruth re-registered as an agent in early 2010 and works remotely from her home office in Yorke Peninsula, and travels to the office monthly to work with the team in Salisbury & see clients face to face. Ruth also enjoys assisting to reunite families through partner, family and humanitarian visas.

Senior Migration Assistant
ADELE MURPHY
Adele started with the company in 2016 as a receptionist and moved into an assistant role. She is now our Senior Migration Assistant working alongside the Migration Agents assisting and supporting them administratively across various application types. She has built a strong knowledge in Migration Law and is an experienced & trusted member of our team and is well respected by clients and colleagues. Adele is currently studying a Bachelor of Law and has a keen interest in Migration law from her long-standing experience working with our company.

Migration Assistant
AHSAN KHAN
Ahsan started working with the company in 2025 assisting with administrative work and interpreting. He is familiar firsthand with the migration process as he himself migrated to Australia in 2009. He has worked as an NAATI certified interpreter since 2013.
Ahsan is in the process of completing his Graduate Diploma in Australian Migration Law & Practice to become a Registered Migration Agent. He continues to build his knowledge and skills in the area of migration.

LAILA
Laila has started with the AMO team in 2026. She is the friendly face and voice that will greet you in the office and over the phone. Laila came to Australia with her family in 2018 finishing her secondary school and going on to do further Certificates. She is passionate about human rights, justice & education and building her knowledge and expertise in these areas.
